My name is Ismat Jahan Shuporna, born and raised in Dhaka, where I attended Holy Cross Girls School and College, followed by a BSc and MSc in Chemistry from the University of Dhaka. I moved to the US in 1999, earning a master's in Computer Science from Queens College, and taught as an Adjunct professor at community colleges. Growing up in a cultural environment, I trained in dance and Indian Classical Music, performing regularly on television and at various events. Now, I support my sons in their musical pursuits and engage with Bangladeshi community through poetry and cultural programs, while actively participating in FOBANA's Women Empowerment Committee and the Bangladesh Association of North Texas.
